e-Learning Update as of 3/16
3-16-2020 eLearning and COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Preparations and Information
Dear District 101 Families:
As a proactive measure aligned with those being taken across the country and across school districts throughout Chicagoland, District 101 has decided to close school for students beginning Monday, March 16, with a projected return to school on Tuesday, April 7.
The Lyons Township superintendents have collaborated on our closure plans and are substantially aligned with one another. While we recognize the hardship this will cause many families, there is a strong belief that this is the most prudent action at this time, as we continue to balance student learning with the overarching health needs that face our communities during this time. There is a great deal of information to share with families; we have attempted to organize the most salient points via the below Table of Contents. As you have questions along the way, please do not hesitate to reach out to your building principal, Dr. Sarah Coffey, Assistant Superintendent, or Dr. Brian Barnhart, Superintendent, and we will do our best to clarify details.
